Federal Data Systems (FDS) has provided information technology services to commercial and Government markets since 2004. Jamie Benoit is Chief Executive Officer and General Counsel of Federal Data Systems, Inc. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Benoit served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. He is also a member of the Board of Directors. Previously, he practiced corporate and securities law with several national law firms. Mr. Benoit served with distinction as an officer in the United States Army. He is a graduate of the United States Army Officer Candidate School. He is currently an elected member of the Anne Arundel County Council serving in his second term. He is also a member of the Maryland Task Force on Cyber Workforce Development. Mr. Benoit received his undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law, and his LL.M from Georgetown University Law Center.
Rick Hardy is a co-founder of FEDDATA and currently serves as its President. He manages business development and serves on the Board of Directors. Prior to his appointment as President, Mr. Hardy served as Chief Operations Officer where he was responsible for day-to-day management of operations and business development. Over the last 20 years, Mr. Hardy has worked in many different technical, management, and business positions within the information technology arena surrounding government and industry. Having done so while rising through the ranks in these varying roles, he possesses a unique perspective and insight that has been valuable to the continuing success of FEDDATA. Rick serves on the Board of Directors of the Synetic Theater. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Robert E. Smith School of Business and Management, University of Maryland, College Park.
James Scobey is a co-founder of FEDDATA and currently serves as Chief Operations Officer and Chief Technology Officer. He is also a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Scobey is an industry-recognized subject matter expert on all phases of data center design, operation and maintenance. His notable positions include Chief Architect for the Pentagon Continuity of Operations Program, Chief Architect of the ATF Knowledge Online portal and Operations Manager for the Pentagon Enterprise Datacenter. He frequently consults with Government officials on datacenter design, optimization, and consolidation. Mr. Scobey was also recognized for his efforts as part of Project Phoenix after the September 11 attack on the Pentagon. Mr. Scobey holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer and Information Science from the University of Maryland University College.
Dave Safronoff has supported the Federal Government since 1984. He spent nine years in the Civil Service, ending his service as a Computer Scientist for the U.S. Information Agency. Since moving to private industry, Mr. Safronoff has supported a number of Federal Agencies and Bureaus including the DoD, FERC, DoS and other civilian and military organizations as a Network Engineer, Program Manager, and Quality Manager. Since joining Feddata, Mr. Safronoff has played a key role in client outreach, business development and customer satisfaction. Mr. Safronoff earned his Bachelor’s Degree and His Master of Science Degree from Wayne State University.
Mr. Heuvel has 14 years experience in management and technical leadership and implementation of complex systems engineering, security, networking, and telecommunications and projects. Prior to joining FDS, Allen focused on managing large Security and Network programs with General Dynamics Information Technology for DOD clients (Army Infrastructure Modernization I3MP, Defense Logistics Agency, Washington Headquarters Service), along with multiple security and network centric programs within the Dept. of Veteran’s Affairs. He is currently the VP of Enterprise Technology Solutions for Federal Data Systems, Inc. overseeing federal programs within the Department of Defense. Mr. Heuvel holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland in College Park.
Paul Niemeyer is a Vice President of Technology Services at FEDDATA. He has over 17 years of progressive information technology experience. During his 17 years of experience, Mr. Niemeyer has led several technical teams during large scale network integrations, provided systems and server support, project management for SAN technology projects, and provided technical consulting to government and healthcare organizations on information technologies and IT infrastructure. He served as the network integration manager for the Pentagon Disaster recovery program where he was responsible for providing disaster recovery solutions to Pentagon tenants. In addition to providing technical oversight for several large scale network implementations, Mr. Niemeyer has held several management positions including Project Manager, Program Manager, and Program Director. Mr. Niemeyer is driven by providing the correct technical solution for the client and is customer focused.
Barry Kane’s career has spanned more than forty years in both the public and private sectors. His twenty year career in the Coast Guard included a tour in Vietnam, a tour as Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Coast Guard Academy, and concluded as the Telecommunications Division Chief in Coast Guard Headquarters where he was responsible for the integration of new technologies to the Coast Guard Telecommunications infrastructure..
